Cleveland Joins Four Other Cities in Implementing Linked Network of Wellness Resources for Children
Morgan Stanley is proud to announce Healthy Cleveland and the expansion of the innovative Healthy Cities initiative. Working with national and local nonprofit partners, Healthy Cleveland will work toward delivering a linked network of wellness, nutrition and play programming that better serves children in need.
Healthy Cleveland will deliver over 710,000 healthy meals; nutrition education, health screening and healthy snack programs for 2,000 students; regular fitness programs for 700+ students; and safe play spaces for 1,000 children. Morgan Stanley employees will continue to play an integral role in supporting our nonprofit partners and sustaining this integrated programming, donating over 2,000 hours of volunteer service in Cleveland in the next year. Learn more about the services Healthy Cleveland will provide in the video below.
Launched in 2014, Morgan Stanley Healthy Cities implemented successful programming in Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Oakland, CA. Across all three locations, Healthy Cities has delivered 586,592 nutritious meals, 1,228 medical screenings and safe play spaces for more than 3,000 kids through May 2015. The program also launched in early 2015 in London.
These numbers show impact, but the true power in the program can be seen in the profound effect Healthy Cities has on the lives of the city’s residents, and the ability to provide children with the healthy start they need to lead successful lives. See how we’ve made a difference in these communities in the videos below.
